Vice President, Flare System Technology, AEREON
Mark Thatcher serves as Vice President, Flare System Technology for AEREON, overseeing and managing the "Flares" business line which includes flares, ignition systems, and fully enclosed flares.
Thatcher has more than 20 years of industry experience in project management, technical design, sales, marketing and business development. Before assuming his current role at AEREON in 2011, Thatcher worked for Flare Industries as Latin American Regional Sales Manager, European Regional Sales Manager based out of Barcelona, Spain and as Marketing and Sales Manager.
Prior to joining AEREON, Thatcher worked at John Zink in the early 90s and for five years at Koch Industries – both involving heaters and flare technology.
Thatcher received a dual degree in mechanical engineering and business administration from the University of Kansas, where he graduated at the top of his class. He currently resides in Austin, and is the father of two children. He is tri-lingual in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
