AEREON’s line of pilots provide a rapid, reliable ignition along with instantaneous re-ignition should the pilot ever lose its flame. In addition to standard pilots, we offer high-tech, retractable pilots with an advanced design that allow for ease of maintenance at ground level.
The Model 250 Energex Pilot is a high alloy, stainless steel pilot which combines a high voltage electronic excitor and a high energy spark rod to provide rapid, reliable ignition. More importantly, the Energex pilot provides instantaneous re-ignition if the pilot should ever lose its flame. This pilot system uses a fuel gas line much like other standard pilots, however instead of a flame front generator it utilizes an excitor capable of producing a high voltage arc inside the pilot nozzle. Due to the integral location in the pilot head, the spark rod can initiate ignition immediately.
The Model 255 pilot is a combination of our Model 245 pilot and Model 250 Energex pilot. The Model 255 pilot can be ignited using a flame front generator and/or the high-energy excitor (electronic sparking device). This pilot inherently provides redundancy in the event that one ignition system should fail to ignite the pilot for any reason. This pilot is a common selection in critical applications that require redundant ignition systems.
The Model 270 RETRAX is a high-tech, retractable, electronic pilot which meets the technical requirements of our clients. This advanced design allows the plant operators to lower the RETRAX pilots individually or all at once for ease of maintenance. Since the RETRAX can be lowered from grade, operators need not wait for a plant shut down to service the pilots. The Model 270 RETRAX allows customers to forego ladders and platforms altogether which further saves our customers money in capital expenditure. (Note: Height limitations apply).
The Model 275 pilot is a high-tech, retractable pilot that has been adapted to operate on both high-energy electronic ignition and flame front ignition. Technically, the Model 275 pilot is a combination of the Model 270 Retrax Pilot and the Model 255 Geminex FFG Pilot, allowing for redundant ignition technology and retractability. This design allows the operator to retract pilots individually or all at once for ease of maintenance. Since the Model 275 Pilot can be lowered from grade, operators need not wait for a plant shut down to service the pilots, while allowing the client to forego ladders and platforms. (Note: Height restrictions apply).
The Model 850 Pilot is a time-proven product that combines electric spark ignition with continuous spark monitoring, thermocouple monitoring, and retractability. The combination of these highly-demanded features has made the high-alloy, stainless steel Model 850 Pilot one of the most well-received ignition systems on the market. This electric pilot provides a rapid, direct spark every 10 to 20 seconds, ensuring reliable ignition. The Model 850 features an inspirator that induces air into the fuel gas line, creating a combustible mixture for the pilot to ignite.
The Model 435 Hurricane Pilot is the newest generation of pilots from AEREON offering heavy duty performance, including API537 tested and proven performance in rain and winds up to 100MPH. It come equipped with 3 ignition sources: Indirect Spark Ignition, Traditional Flame Front Generator System, and Direct Spark Ignition. Pilot monitoring is provided by 2 methods: Thermocouple and/or ionization flame detection.
The new Model Duraspark 1000 Heavy Duty Pilot was developed specifically for the rigors of the oil-patch, providing additional layers of protection and heat shielding of critical components. The transformer box has also been placed at grade (vs. near the flare tip) reducing heat stress of these critical components. Available with retractable packages, the DuraSpark 1000 will improve system reliability and life expectancy.
