Miniaturized Vapor Recovery Units (VRU) recover gasoline vapors otherwise lost through normal storage tank evaporation, or during gasoline deliveries to your station. The patent-pending Jordan Vapor Solution is a pre-engineered modular system with a small footprint that can be easily installed in 1-2 days without the need to shut down the station, nor to make costly modifications to your station's existing piping or electrical supply. The JVS requires only single phase power supply.
The gasoline vapors generated through normal evaporative losses or during gasoline deliveries are captured in the closed loop JVS unit which is installed between the underground storage tanks and the delivery truck. The JVS utilizes highly efficient activated carbon technology, and allows you to meet Stage 1 (truck unloading) compliance requirements, while reducing gasoline losses and increasing station profits.
Gasoline vapor losses can vary widely depending on local weather conditions, frequency of gasoline deliveries, and of course the volume of gasoline being sold at the station. An average retail station in the USA is estimated to have a recovery rate of 0.35% of the gasoline volume being delivered. When factored into the capital and operating costs of the JVS, a typical payback of less than 24 months is expected.
